One of our core goals of Bloom is to help people flourish in the areas that they have personally identified as areas important to them. We invite members and platform users to leverage Bloom to help them in those areas, and to share the data that might help them in areas that are important to them.

Bloom is an education technology startup focused on quantified skills development for high school students, university students, corporates, professionals, and job-seekers. Our platform includes self-diagnostic skills assessments, setting skills development priorities, earning badges, and accessing a library of activities. We also support program facilitators in formal educational settings and independent workshops.

3. Data We Collect

We collect the following types of personal data:

  • Activity Logs: Interaction with platform features, earned badges.

All payment processing, credit card services, and credit card storage are done via Stripe.com. Bloom does not maintain any credit card or private payment information in our database or servers.


Data that users submit is also shared with people on their teams, and if they’re in a program, with the program managers, mentors, advisors, and others who are also involved in providing support to the people and teams in programs.

If users want to take an assessment or otherwise leverage the Bloom platform in a way that is not shared with other team members or program managers, they should start a separate team to keep that information private.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. We also retain data to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specific retention periods depend on the nature of the data and the purposes for which it was collected.


Users can delete personally identifiable information from within a team, though information that has team relevance will not be deleted when a user deletes their account, to maintain access for the ongoing team. That information will be deleted however, if the team is also deleted.

At this point we do not have special parental safeguards or controls in place, and so we only accept users who are 16 years old or older, or who are above the minimum legal age that does not require parental consent in whichever jurisdiction they are in. If you are under 16 years old or whatever is the minimum legal age that requires parental consent in your jurisdiction, please do not create an account on Bloom or use Bloom at this time. We will work to build in the additional child-friendly safeguards soon to enable direct participation on Bloom by people who are below the minimum legal age needed for parental consent.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on our platform and updating the effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any updates.
