Dear Bloom Community,
In many ways 2024 was a difficult year. Tens of thousands of innocent people were senselessly killed across multiple conflicts, genocide was celebrated and supported, climate collapse accelerated, AI-related disruptions to people’s lives increased, and there were challenges to basic practices of good governance and core freedoms.
The weight of these crises has been heavy, and yet, in the face of adversity, we have also seen the extraordinary power of community, solidarity, and hope in action. We’re seeing incredible creativity and innovation around climate solutions, people leveraging AI for good, and a rising movement of people supporting justice and universal human rights.
At Bloom, we remain steadfast in our commitment to supporting changemakers, equipping them with the tools, community, and resources to build stronger, more sustainable enterprises and organizations. We’re continuing to provide direct support to impact-focused organizations on the frontlines of crisis response and exploring ways to deepen and expand our impact on critical issues, wherever those efforts are, even in, especially in, the most challenging situations.
Through it all, we have been reminded that resilience is not just about survival; it is about adaptation, innovation, care, community, and collective action. Together, we can overcome any challenge. Together, we can thrive.
As we move forward, we do so with a renewed commitment to justice, dignity, equality of opportunity, and progress that celebrates our shared humanity and our connection to nature and the Earth. In 2024, Bloom deepened its commitment to empowering values-driven entrepreneurs, fostering green growth, and sharing open access in the Middle East, Africa, and beyond.
Through our innovative technology platform, strategic partnerships, and impactful events, we supported hundreds of startups, social enterprises, and facilitators in building stronger foundations for growth and resilience.
This year marked the successful completion of the early stage of the Asfari Challenge for Social Innovation (ACSSI) program, culminating in a new wave of exceptional startups driving social and environmental change.

Empowering changemakers through targeted accelerator programs
The Digital Transformation Training Program
A collaboration between Bloom, CINOP, and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this program facilitated the digital transformation achievements of Lebanese SMEs, supporting their growth in a digital-first economy.
HerMeNow Cycle 2
The HerMeNow Accelerator Cycle 2 empowered women entrepreneurs from diverse regions through tailored training, mentorship, and networking opportunities, fostering connections with investors and ecosystem players.
ASFARI Challenge Accelerator 3rd Edition
In collaboration with Bloom and the Asfari Foundation, this transformative program provided support to 13 social enterprises from Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria. The program focused on developing business models through comprehensive training, mentorship, and hands-on learning.
Green Catalyst
The Green Catalyst program fostered inclusive and sustainable green enterprise growth, leveraging over 17 years of experience to empower green-ready businesses in the Middle East and Africa through climate action, inclusive growth, community engagement, and innovation.
Hope in Action
A lifeline for social enterprises in Lebanon and Palestine, this campaign raised funds to provide small grants, mentorship, and well-being support to enterprises. Donations directly enabled vital services addressing urgent needs while fostering long-term resilience through innovative, impact-driven solutions.
