We're thrilled to share the inspiring work of one of our esteemed alumni, Caryle Enterprises. Their recent initiative in Kisumu County, Kenya, stands as a testament to the powerful impact our alumni network is making across the globe.

On June 27th & 28th, 2024, Caryle Enterprises, in partnership with Somo Africa, distributed #DignifyHer Reusable Sanitary Pads to 500 households devastated by recent floods in the region. These reusable pads, innovatively made from recycled textile waste, offer a sustainable solution to menstrual health challenges, ensuring dignity, comfort, and prolonged support for adolescent girls and young women.

Since their time at Bloom, Caryle has been a beacon of innovation and social impact, addressing intersectional challenges like period poverty, gender equality, and environmental sustainability. Their journey through our accelerator program has empowered them with essential business skills, strategic mentorships, and market opportunities that have significantly shaped their path to creating meaningful change.

During the distribution, Caryle’s leadership team, including CEO Caren and Project Manager Edwin, not only delivered these essential supplies but also provided vital education on menstrual hygiene, responsible waste management, and the effective use of their sustainable products.
